Cornwall Council will reject and abandon plans to establish an Accountable Care System in favour of a less formal system of partnership working.

At a meeting held on Monday evening, Cornwall Council’s health Cabinet member Cllr Rob Rotchell met with NHS and KCCG chiefs to thrash out a deal before plans were due to be put before an extraordinary Cabinet meeting of March 28th.

But the meeting ended with Cornwall Council pulling out of the deal. There will now be no shared budget or shared accountability.
