Around 12 to 13 ambulances from the East of England Ambulance Service were seen waiting around outside the accident and emergency entrance on Tuesday morning (January 2), with some containing patients on board.
A spokesperson for Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust said: “All hospitals across the county are experiencing very high demand for services.
“Broomfield continues to be under significant pressure today following a sustained period of an extremely high demand on our services, but patient safety and care remain our utmost priority and our staff are working very hard assessing, triaging and treating patients.”
