COUNCILLORS slammed the bosses of a major health shake-up for having no concrete plans as it was revealed the new review will have cost £1.2 million by March next year.
The Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) will decide how Bedford Hospital, Luton and Dunstable Hospital and Milton Keynes Hospital work together in the future to save millions of pounds, and could see frontline services axed.
But its bosses came under fire at a meeting of the Bedfordshire Health Services Review Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee yesterday as they announced the total spent on the review would hit £1.2 million by March next year.
