The Care Quality Commission has ordered The Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to make improvements – with areas of concern including the safety of patients.

Insufficient staff numbers and hazardous materials being left in unlocked areas were among the specific issues highlighted by the CQC inspectors.

The trust is responsible for mental health services and end of life care provision in the whole county, and also runs community hospitals in Newquay, Liskeard, Stratton, Launceston, Helston, Falmouth, Camborne, Redruth, Bodmin and St Austell.
