Patients faced another day of misery after Addenbrooke’s Hospital was hit by its second computer crisis in 24 hours.

Planned surgeries were cancelled and ambulances were diverted to other hospitals across the region.

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which manages Addenbrooke’s and The Rosie Maternity Hospital, urged patients not to go to Addenbrooke’s A&E unless absolutely necessary.

Patients reported long wait times and a lack of information from staff at the hospital while the issue was ongoing.
