NHS staff told not to tweet about ‘political issues like lack of PPE’

The East Anglian Daily Times reports that staff at the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust were told not to tweet about “political issues” during the coronavirus pandemic, including the shortage of PPE. This was part of social media guidance sent via a staff newsletter on Friday.

In the newsletter, seen by the East Anglian Daily Times, staff were told to avoid tweeting about “political issues, such as PPE, testing and exit strategies”. They were however encouraged to praise staff for their hard work, working over the weekend and keeping people safe.
