Councillors in Bexley are urging local people to have their say on NHS proposals that will affect the stroke services provided at Darent Valley Hospital.
The NHS is consulting on how to provide services in Kent and Medway that match those currently provided in south east London, but this could involve taking services away from Darent Valley.
The deadline for comments on the proposals is Friday April 13.
Cllr James Hunt, chairman of Bexley’s People (Health) Overview and Scrutiny Committee, said: “Darent Valley is the nearest hospital for many Bexley residents and they should be able to quickly access the highest levels of care and have the best chance of a full recovery if they are unfortunate enough to suffer a stroke.”
