Protesters have gathered to oppose to the proposed closure of the children’s heart unit at Glenfield Hospital.
Campaigners gathered at Lincoln City Council at 9.30am on Wednesday, March 15 waving homemade signs and banners after a petition last month, calling for planned closure to be overturned, gained 130,000 signatures.
The specialist heart centre is set to be scrapped because NHS chiefs say it is unlikely the hospital will be able to meet new standards.
But the protestors who gathered outside County Hall said they felt the proposed closure was financially motivated.
