A Bristol health centre is now offering a self-pay option to its patients.
Emersons Green Treatment Centre has recently added the option for patients to fund themselves to its existing range of NHS services.
This combined approach to delivering healthcare has been shown to work well in other NHS Trusts, many of which successfully offering private treatment alongside their NHS services.
Emersons Green hospital director, Rob Thomas, has extensive experience of working in both NHS and private sector hospitals, so is expertly placed to make this combination of funding options work.
He said: “This is about increasing choice for patients whilst keeping a very clear focus on and commitment to our NHS services.
“I want to make it clear that we continue to offer significant support to local NHS colleagues and we remain resolute in our aim of improving access to NHS services in Bristol. As a former NHS manager I have nothing but respect for the dedication and professionalism of our NHS.”
