Thirty per cent of full-time workers are dissatisfied with GP waiting times compared to 22% of unemployed people – these NHS figures come from Equipsme. Fourty four per cent of those working full-time always or regularly saw their GP, whereas this was 48% for the wider population.

The recent NHS GP patient survey reported that a third of people get a same-day doctor’s appointment, with 26% having to wait over a week – only 4% of people are happy to wait that long.
